How the media manipulates you like Pavlov’s Dogs
Well, the GOP presidential primary is heating up again as we all ready ourselves for yet another debate tonight. But happening on the side of all of this is how the national media is manipulating this election and you.
Right now the mainstream media’s mission is to personally destroy Rick Santorum – not politically but personally – and by extension all American Catholics and Evangelical Christians by harping on topics that nobody in the country is talking about.
Do you remember the ABC News/GOP presidential debate and the “contraception question?” Before George Stephanopoulos asked that question in the debate about states “outlawing contraception” had you heard anyone at all talk about that issue with respect to presidential politics?
Here is how the Media Research Center reported on that debate:
ABC’s GOP presidential debate on Saturday overflowed with liberal questions. Of the 48 queries by George Stephanopoulos, Diane Sawyer and others, 20 came from the left, three were from the right and 25 were neutral or horse race questions. A whopping 25 percent (12 questions) revolved around contraception-related subjects or gay rights.
Although birth control isn’t exactly a pressing 2012 issue (especially in a tough economy), George Stephanopoulos wasted seven questions on contraception.
Now isn’t it coincidental that less than one month after George Stephanopoulos generated controversy with a false issue the Obama Administration launched its attack on the Catholic Church and religious liberty in America with a new rule under Obamacare forcing the Catholic Church to pay 100% of the cost of contraception at Catholic colleges, hospitals and charities?
Let’s review: What are we hearing about in the news today with respect to the GOP presidential contenders?
