A couple of great reads

Good friends of mine passed along a couple of great reads today that I wanted to share and recommend.

This first one, written by Doug Giles and published at Townhall.com, is a great admonishment to the Evangelical Christian community and in addition to being spot on, is really well written and even kind of a fun read. I highly recommend it.

From the article:

1. Some dainty saints of today think rebellion against tyrants is disobedience to God, when the converse is actually true. Yep, these stooges of the machine believe that Yahweh wants Christians to be the corralled cattle of corrupt politicians and policies. Indeed, a lot of pop evangelicals have become nicer than God.

This second one is by the always great Mark Steyn for the National Review Online and is equally compelling. I admire Steyn’s work whether it’s on the radio filling in for Rush or his written editorials and here he uses his unique wit to drive several serious points home.

Hope you give them a read and enjoy.

Happy Sunday,

Steve
