About the Blog

Let me take just a minute to explain the blog.
This blog is not about anyone’s vision of America except our Founding Fathers’ vision. It isn’t about what I want to change America into, not about slavery, segregation or sexism. It is about liberty – freedom and the American historical context. It is about placing modern political and social problems into the proper historical – American – context.
At Stevebussey.com we demand you put on your thinking cap. Even if you disagree with our specifics we demand you think in the philosophical – think about the philosophy we are laying out. We do not condone the lazy. We also ask that you have the courage to leave your comments and use your name – be bold – step up – take a stand – be counted and recognized. At least have the courage to fight for liberty every bit as much as our men and women in the military. Put something on the line even if it is just your name and reputation.
This blog is going to seem a little in-your-face from time to time, and I’ll probably use some Navy language, so you might want to warn the kids. I have no use for, no time for, and no respect for liberals/progressives/communists/socialists or liars (media and others I just named). I come to the political table, I hope, with passion, conviction, research and a healthy respect for truth.
Of course there will be new content every day, but on some days it will be from different guest writers instead of me. There are several writers – political essayists – around the country whom I respect and follow. Occasionally, they will write for Stevebussey.com and it will be my honor to bring their opinions and expert analysis to you. I especially want to do this because I am so damn sick and tired of the usual suspects like Cokie Roberts, George Will, Pat Buchanan (I’m writing an essay about this moron now), Bill Kristol, et al. They are stale and stuck in the past and modern politics is actually leaving them behind.
A blog named 2sistersfromtheright run by the two sisters, and my dear friends Alice and Maria, used to publish my essays, but they closed down due to circumstances beyond their control – and no, those circumstances were not a lack of readers. They were kind enough to publish my essays and then kind enough to send me their archives so I could include those essays in this blog, so you’ll see some posts here from me that cover topics from the past.
I also want to thank A. Afterwit from the blog Raisedonhoecakes.com for his graphics and web master skills.
So, please enjoy, please comment and please vote. Give me your feedback and let me know how to make this site better, and I’ll listen.
